Make Daddy Proud. Elope.

In the spirit of my previous post, I have gathered some more wedding stunners. Let's begin with the infamous dress. We all know it is the centerpiece of the entire wedding.... so for all you fashionistas, here's some forward fashion for you to consider:

For those wanting to imitate an intimate English style wedding, take this first style from Princess-To-Be Kate Middleton. For those who prefer a much less formal wedding, go for style #2. Just make sure you have some excellent tape and dolly-style knockers.

Dress #3 is especially made for those who wish to get married on the OC campus. I don't think Dean Bennett can find a single thing not covered adequately. If marrying internationally, make sure you include this awesome balloon dress. Perfect for that feeling of floating on air. just make sure you stay away from anything sharp. And for all you knitters out there, this do it yourself dress will be sure to draw the crowds attention! Best for that winter wedding.

Divas here and there LOVE dress #6. Attention will never leave you in this stunner. (Disclaimer: Surgery, ruffles, hair extensions, and P90X not included). Finally, celebrate your new years eve wedding with some jazz and pizazz! This ornament/balloon dress is sure to offer that holiday spirit without being "too christmasy".

It is important to also make your wedding unique to you. However, avoid these wedding day no-nos.

Advise from me: Don't be that couple that makes weddings awkward. Avoid cross-dressing and butt-grabbing. Though they may seem like a funny idea at the time, guests will not be pleased.

For all you joksters out there, be sure to include pics that make you happy... and make others laugh. However, riding a dirty bulldozer may leave unwanted scuff marks in addition to the always present danger of falling out after a bump. I don't think insurance will cover this potential doozie.

And for everyone who loves a good theme, here are some to inspire your special day. Plan ahead! Halloween only come around once a year!

Warning: the following may be too disturbing for some viewers.

If you want to be literal about the line "until death do us part", give this gothic style ago. Beware however that you will look deader than Ozzy Osbourne. Plan accordingly. And for those interested in scaring children, the clown theme is an excellent idea. The creepier the face the better the audience response. Also, consider learning sign language if miming your ceremony.

It is also possible to mimic Barbie Ice Princess for your wedding. Just make sure your guy is good with growing out his hair and dyeing it accordingly. Nothing says bride like Barbie.

And finally, these should NEVER be included in any wedding.

Lingerie belongs in the suitcase and should never be included in wedding attire. Who really wants to see that anyway.

Poor little vermin. I doubt they knew they'd end up sewn to a tailcoat. I guess this just proves men should not be allowed to pick what they wear.

Mermice. Nothing more needs so be said.

I'm officially out. peace and love- KB

Putting the "YACK" in Tacky

I'm all for celebrating and creating a wedding that is individual to you... but when you take it this far... just know I do judge you.

Pageant queen meets drag queen. Better hide those glad bags!

Thank goodness she had them clean the floors.

This seems very familiar... you know who you are. However, the whole "Skittles taste the rainbow" theme comes off a little too Lisa Frank for an individual no longer in Junior High.

Dear Heidi Klum,
I understand you want to support the poor in Mexico, but why don't you donate some money instead of allowing them to turn you into a wannabe Brandy. Not even you can pull it off.

Um... back crack is just as bad as plumber crack... maybe even worse

I wonder if the dress had this hole before the baby or if David's Bridal refused to trade it in for the right size.

Funny...

OK, so i know it's been 3 WHOLE MONTHS since my last post.... which means i have a lot to catch you all up on.

Well, to begin with, I'M COMPLETELY ACCESSORIZED for the wedding with the final addition of....... SHOES!!!

For those of you who do not know, these were as hard to find as the bridesmaid dresses. Apparently the criteria for color and ability to walk on grass without breaking off a long heel made this an almost 7 month search... but i've got them and now i'm totally ready for the big day.

On a second note, Andy and I have started P90X to get in shape for the wedding. Let me tell you something... it's GREAT but i have literally never been so sore in my life. Needless to say, it's a time consuming work out so I'm desperately hoping it pays off in the end. i usually want to throw the remote at tim horton's head every time he makes comments about perfect technique. Heck if i could even get off the ground after 10 minutes i'm sure i'd appreciate it more but i don't think he understands that amount of agony my body is currently experiencing!

Over Christmas break, Andy come to colorado and we registered and Target and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. THAT was an overwhelming experience. I'm pretty sure at some point he just took the scanner from me to scan so we'd actually get things besides wall art, games, and decorations... I am just WAY more excited to do the nesting... i'm just not as into all the kitchen stuff as him i guess. Must be why HE'S the cook and not me.

So with the addition of the candy bags stamped, bows tied, and made.... there isn't much else that has gone on since my last post. All the center pieces have been made and put into storage for the big day! Finally that's done and ready to go. All the flower arrangements are in motion of being created. Mom's got her dress... the girls' have theirs. I've got mine... it's a pretty good deal right now. all i have left to do is...

1. Meet with the venue people for the walk through.
2. Pick out what the boys will be wearing for sure
3. Take a spring set of engagement pics (love you Lisa!)
4. Meet with the florist to discuss bouquets
5. Begin the process of getting my gown fitted
6. Come up with the ENTIRE ceremony order
7. Come up with vows
8. Organize all the picture places by people and time (organization is my procrastination)
9. Organize the timeline of the wedding period.
10. Make the program fans
11. Create the invitations, make them, and get them sent out
12. Get into shape
13. Make all the flower arrangements that have yet to be made
14. Figure out hair, nails, make up, etc.
15. Meet with caterer to discuss lunch.

And on and on for at least another 100 things... and with that i think i'm going to actually begin to accomplish some of the things that I can right now on this lazy Sunday.

Peace.

Finally Said Yes to This Little Black Dress

So, as you all know... I have been try to find the absolute perfect bridesmaid dress- Summery and short with a twist of vintage. Well it's taken me almost 6 months to find this perfect dress... and I'm proud to FINALLY reveal it.
TAAAAAAAA DDDUUUUHHHHHHHH!

IT'S PERFECTO!
And I'm excited to finally make a step in the right direction.
I would like to add that the only reason I've even found a dress yet is because mom finally convinced me to switch from brown to black. She is wonderful. I think it will make my life easier.
ALSO..............
MY wonderful bridesmaids have been so patient and supportive of this long process. I'm super lucky. Love you all!

Well here's to a huge check off my wedding to-do list :)

Week 1: My Stomach Rumblings are Registering as Minor Earthquakes

It's been a week since I began my new, highly intense diet...

It's been a week of constant hunger pains, stomach rumblings that register on seismographs, and CONSTANT cravings for sweets.

It's been one of the hardest diet I've ever been on. Maybe it's because Halloween was two days ago, and I didn't get to enjoy ANY of that delicious candy... Or maybe it's because I've just now realized how big of a sweet tooth I actually have. In any case, this is a character-building experience... dang it...

BUT... there is an upside to this misery I experience daily....

I've lost SEVEN pounds.
That is a very amazing feat considering the normal weight you lose a week should be about 2 pounds a week. I'm so excited!!! It sometimes makes it feel worth the uncomfortableness to know that there's sooo much progress being made daily.

Now if I could just stop dreaming of icecream covered in homemade chocolate or the sugar cookie blast at Sonic.

Ace of Cakes

During fall break I've had the opportunity to advance wedding plans in several ways... although surgery did put a damper in some of the planning. But on to BIGGER and BETTER things...

This is a sketch of my custom made cake!!! I'm SOOO excited!!! it is ABSOLUTELY perfect!!!

In other news, I'm starting a new hardcore diet in order to reach my wedding weight goal by Christmas. So if you see me snacking on celery and half a grapefruit, don't tempt me with BDubs and Arbys. My dress comes in in November and I want to start seeing results so that we can get an idea for fitting costs. Bring on the celery...
Besides that, I have found a bridesmaid dress that has sooooo much potential that I'm really excited to see it!!! This is has been the most frustrating and timeconsuming part of planning a wedding and I can't wait to get it over with.

Finally, mom and I did some engagement picture clothes shopping and we've actually agreed on a couple outfits that will be super cute. Now to just get those pictures taken and checked off my to-do list!!!

That's all I have right now. Patho is calling my name and Hitch is on TV.

And So It Begins... Beginning Weight Pictures

Ladies and Gentlemen... Let me present the BEFORE pictures. And there better be major improvement in a month when I do this again... or at least in 9 months.

ANYWAY...

It has begun. The slimdown. The most anticipated and annoying part of the entire wedding process.

Now don't get me wrong... it will SOOO be worth it later down the road, but when Jillian Michael's is yelling at you to do more push ups and crunches, all I want to do is curl up on the couch and eat potato chips.

Today I began the 30 day Shred- the sorest 20 minutes of my life. I have never realized HOW out of shape I have actually become since high school.

I decided to start with jillian because I'm still so far from the wedding date. So, before I get really ambitious and do P 90X, I decided I should try to work up some endurance so I don't actually die in attempting P 90X. So in 29 days we'll see if Jillian is actually worth the money I paid for her :)

That is all folks. It's time to do more homework now. Progress pictures to come.
